Obama: Immigration is ‘in our DNA’

Barack Obama emphasized importance of immigration reformation. Celebrating the ethnic diversity of America, President Barack Obama said more than two dozen foreign-born service members who became US citizens at the White House on the Fourth of July are vivid reminders welcoming immigrants “is central to our way of life.”. He pleaded anew for new immigration policies, saying the vast range of backgrounds and experiences, making America a melting pot for more than 200 years also makes the country stronger. He argued the system must be retooled for the US to remain the greatest nation on earth. “The basic idea of welcoming immigrants to our shores is central to our way of life.

I agree that immigration reformation. I think, we should have open mind for immigration. Generally, Korean are exclusive about immigration people. This exclusive mind came from Joseon(조선)'s confucianism that exclude foreign country. Now, we should change fixed idea. And, we have to be kind to foreigners.

Daniel Russel who is The top Asia policymaker in the Obama administration said he believes that the watchword for territorial disputes in East Asia should be “restraint.” in a recent interview with "Asahi Shimbun. Commenting on the recent Chinese action over a major dispute with Vietnam in the South China Sea, Russel pointed out that it is a question of judgment. He categorically denied the view that the United States is trying to contain China through its rebalance policy. As for the current status of Japan-U.S. relations, Russel said, “We are in a very good place,” and welcomed the decision by the Abe administration to relax Japan’s self-imposed restriction on the exercise of the right to collective self-defense.

This article told me about alliance of USA and Japan. And, Daniel Russel welcomed relaxing Japan's of self-impose restriction. I worried about this relaxing. Today, Japan go rightist. This is very dangerous. I understand Japan's right of self defense. but, I don't want Japan's force released about other country. Already Japan is vary powerful. We feel
menace.

Typhoon Neoguri: Okinawa, Japan in Path of Strongest Typhoon So Far in 2014

Typhoon Neoguri, the strongest typhoon so far in the 2014 Western Pacific season, has become an extremely dangerous tropical cyclone as it churns toward Okinawa and potentially other parts of Japan and East Asia. Neoguri is currently churning west-northwest over the open ocean. The US Joint Typhoon Warning Center estimated Neoguri's sustained winds to be as high as 140 miles per hour as of 1 am EDT Sunday (2 pm Sunday Japanese time), with higher gusts. Neoguri is forecast to pass dangerously close to Okinawa on Tuesday local time (late Monday night US time). After passing Okinawa, Neoguri is then expected go on to affect parts of the Japanese mainland by Wednesday.

Neoguri influence small impact to Korea. because Neoguri will pass Japan's sky. But, we have to prepare the damage of Neoguri no matter how this impact may be small. We have to search how to block typhoon, and we have to do this solution. I want that Japan's damage is small.
