Solomon Island churches: ‘We will work to stem corruption’

Churches in the Solomon Islands have committed to playing an active part in mitigating the root causes of corruption. Church leaders and participants agreed that there was a ‘crisis of leadership’, and in particular a ‘crisis of honesty’ in the Solomon Islands. Churches have now called on the Government to create a more effective process that will bring about meaningful co-operation and partnerships between the Church and the State in the Solomon Islands. In calling for the eradication of corruption in national political and chiefly systems, Churches have committed to doing the same within their own faith based institutions.

This article tells me Churches called on the Government to effort. I think, this society purification is vary positive phenomenon. If we can't control society corruption, Churches or religious group have to call on 'this corruption is stop'. Religious group can do it, if government and company can't do it.

Solomon Islands flood victims demand land

More than one thousand people are still living in the centres after April's flash floods which killed at least 21 people, and left thousands homeless. The government has delayed last weekend's plan to forcibly close the centres, but says they will close by the end of the month. Charles Ketea, a spokesman for the flood victims, explains some people still feel they need to remain in the camps.

I think, Government must to keep the centres. Because, victims have no other refuge, small money. no This article don't say Government's alternative about victims have no other refuge  to me. If, Government's alternative don't exist, Government must to find a alternative.

Kavita Varshney's Solomon Islands service

Westmead Hospital’s Emergency Department specialist Dr Kavita Varshney was one Australian selected to join the 12-person Australian and New Zealand Medical Assistance Team. For almost two weeks, Dr Varshney was deployed to treat hundreds of patients, including children, at the National Referral Hospital, suffering from water-borne and respiratory illnessesincluding measles, dengue fever and malaria.

This article tells me Doctor Varshney's devoted effort. She cured many people who is victims by floods. Doctor Varshney is respectable woman. She is devoted, outstanding doctor. If I am, I never did it. I am selfish, I can't sacrifice for other people. My level for victims is to fund for victims.

But I know that this code is useful according to this article. Because this code can array order, give usability and this code is smart. Consulting is vary important to this code become useful.
